Friends and Family

Well, Kirstie and I are excited to announce the birth of our first son, Roland Harold Pue. He was born on May 16 in the afternoon and weighed in at 9lbs 3oz. Kirstie did incredible and I am so proud of her.

I took 8 days of work off afterwards to be at home with Kirstie and Roland. It was much needed as we began adjusting to this new life of ours and starting to figure out what this whole parenting thing is all about! Along with the precious time being together, and getting to know Ro, we were so lucky to have so many friends and family surround us with visits. He is well loved already and we are so grateful for our community that now surrounds wee Roland as well.

Prior to the arrival of Roland, Kirstie and I spent lots of time being together, having fun and spending time with friends. We took advantage of this last season as a family of two by going out on lots of dates and enjoying every minute of it. Our place was also recently renovated by our dear friends (and coincidentally, our landlords), so we stayed with Kirstie’s parents for a few months while that was happening. We were able to get moved back in and get settled with some time to spare.

All that to say, if this summer you feel the need to meet Roland and see our beautiful place, you are more than welcome to! Just let me know and we will find a time - we can talk about life, ministry, and share a meal.

Heading into summer now on the work front it will be filled with graduations, the end of our programs, the art show (which you are invited to - see the Save the Date section on the opposite page), one on one time with teens in Langley, and the Walnut Grove Secondary School Gator Shades program! I will elaborate on that all next time. In addition to all that I am being credentialed with Youth Unlimited! Those trips and papers are paying off as I come to the end of this process. After being credentialed, I will be taking on more responsibility here with the Langley Youth Unlimited team as a supervisor, supervising staff and overseeing all of our internal programs. Very excited for all that’s to come!

Thank you for your support and being on this journey with us.

- Jon Pue
